As more and more people today are turning to the internet for e-commerce and information gathering, it is extremely important for a business to be able to clearly and concisely convey information about their products and services.

Here at SweetP Productions we are proficient with current XHTML markup and CSS standards.

What does this mean for me?

What's a CSS?

CSS or Cascading Style Sheets, are an extra file that is hosted alongside your website that holds all of your Webster's layout properties.

I thought the site was meant to load faster, but now it has this extra CSS file to download?

The advantage of this is that each individual page now no longer has all of this extra code to download (as all of the layout properties are in the single CSS file - which only needs to be downloaded once). This helps your site load faster, which makes for a more pleasant browsing experience! Another benefit of using CSS, is that it is now much easier to apply layout changes to your entire website by changing this one CSS file!

What about this XHTML thing?

XHTML or eXtensible HyperText Markup Language, is basically a more refined version of HTML - the language which web browsers understand, and use to display web pages.

Wait a minute - new language?

XHTML is supported by pretty much every browser out there at the moment, and as we said before, will be future proofed. Be assured that before we deploy a website - we test for compatibility issues across different browsers and computer platforms.

To check if your current website supports these new standards, try the online XHTML Validator.

What about all those fancy Flash websites?

Flash is a great tool if used effectively, and here at SweetP Productions we optimise our flash content for all users. Whether they use lightning fast broadband or dialup, your clients won't be left sitting twiddling their thumbs waiting for pages to download.
